How To Order
Creating Your Éirloom
Every Éirloom cord is made by hand in Belfast, created to become part of your ceremony and, we hope, part of your story for generations to come.
Whether you've fallen in love with one of our existing designs or have something completely unique in mind, ordering your cord is simple.
1. Tell Us About Your Wedding
Start by telling us a little about your day — your wedding date, location and the style of handfasting cord you're looking for.
If you're considering a bespoke design, we'd love to see anything that helps us understand your vision. Send us your wedding colour palette, photographs, Pinterest boards, sketches, fabric swatches or simply describe what you have in mind.
You don't need to have everything figured out. That's what we're here for.
2. Choose Your Design
Choose a cord from one of our existing collections, or work directly with Shauna to create something entirely bespoke.
For bespoke commissions, we'll explore colours, patterns and personal details together, creating a cord that feels completely at home within your wedding and meaningful to the two of you.
3. Confirm Your Éirloom
Once you're happy with your chosen design, colours and any personalisation, we'll confirm the final details and price with you.
With everything agreed, your order is confirmed and Shauna can begin bringing your Éirloom to life.
4. Woven by Hand in Belfast
Every Éirloom is individually handmade by Shauna in Belfast, Northern Ireland, using traditional textile techniques to create something intended to last far beyond the wedding day.
Our standard cords will normally be created and dispatched within two weeks. Bespoke commissions may require a little longer depending on the complexity of the design.
As each piece is made by hand, we always recommend ordering as early as possible — particularly for bespoke commissions.
5. Tie the Knot
Your Éirloom arrives ready to take its place in your handfasting ceremony.
On your wedding day, it becomes the cord that binds your hands together as you make your promises to one another.
Afterwards, untie it and keep it.
A tangible piece of your ceremony, made to be treasured, displayed or perhaps one day passed on to someone you love.
